The Beast Comes!

Ah, the beast! Good old havoc wreaking times!

Most of you won't know where this comes from since It has been centuries since the last time I did one of these. You see, when I started my account here in DA a little over a year ago, I had questionable skills and I was not even out of high-school yet. So the best I could bring to this account at first were these pics constructed from multiple screenshots of the PC video game "Homeworld" by Relic Entertaniment, which will always be my favorite gaming franchise of all time.


Since I didn't really celebrate my one-year Deviousness properly, I decided to make another one of these for the sake of... well, for the sake of something...

Unfortunately, I seem to have misplaced my Homeworld disk. This forced me to use the game's stand-alone expansion: "Homeworld:Cataclysm" which was produced by Barking Dog Studios instead of the original. Still it wasn't all bad to make this because of the one thing that made this game shine (even if not a lot): the Beast! The nano-techno-organic entity that assimilates enemy ships and turns people into blobs of flesh and bone. This behemoth alone would provide the perfect ambient for this pic.

If you're a fan of the game you can probably guess what this pic is about and why are those words over there so poor in grammar. If you know the Homeworld franchise, but for some reason have not played this game, it is totally worth playing it and I encourage you to. And if you have absolutely no idea what Homeworld is about, I say get the first one and play it! (by which I mean, buy it!)

Oh! The nostalgia! If only THQ would get off their asses and tell Relic to get working on HW3...If only...
